Dear Cal TURN Colleague,
Our next Cal TURN event is scheduled for March 14-15, 2019 at Elk Grove Education Association, 9297 Office Park Cir #100, Elk Grove, CA 95758. We are assembling presenters, both from our local unions and districts as well as nationally recognized specialists and guests to share promising practices so we can learn from and support each other’s work. This conference will focus specifically on an Outward Mindset Seminar conducted by Elk Grove USD and Elk Grove EA.
Our Cal TURN teams represent union & teacher leaders, school & district administrators and board members who are working jointly to plan and implement teacher evaluation systems and college and career ready standards to improve teaching and learning. We continue to encourage and support our Cal TURN teams to jointly develop, implement and share their efforts. Additionally, we will work with teams to develop action plans in order to facilitate the work in our school communities.
Cal TURN locals are encouraged to invite representatives from their district and school administration, boards of education and community leaders to join their teams for this two-day forum. Due to limited space at the venue, at this time, we are limiting teams to 8-10 participants. If you have more than 10 team members that would like to attend, we will start a waiting list for them. As space allows, we will notify those on the waiting list when space becomes available for them to attend.
The registration fee is $175 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch on both days and training materials for the Outward Mindset Seminar. Payment maybe made via purchase order or check made payable to the Consortium for Educational Change and mailed to:Consortium for Educational Change, 2030 Timberbrooke, Suite A, Springfield, IL 62704 Attention: Laura Sestak
