Integrating Education, Health and Community to Support All Our Children!
Our next MASE/Florida TURN Labor-Management Collaboration Meeting is set for April 14, 2018 in Pensacola, FL. We are excited to once again be able to provide this opportunity to bring together collaborative teams of union and management from across the MASE/FL TURN region. Childhood trauma can have a direct, immediate, and potentially overwhelming impact on the ability of a child to learn. By adopting a trauma-informed approach, schools undertake aparadigm shift at the staff and organizational level to recognize, understand and address thesocial-emotional and academic learning needs of children, and the impact trauma has on children’s ability to listen, learn and live successfully.
Topics Include:
•What is Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)?
