Our next Southwest TURN Conference is set for September 21-22, 2018 in Denver. Southwest TURN works to bring together educators and education supporters to examine programs, policies and practices that impact teaching effectiveness and student learning, and to develop collaborative partnerships to improve teacher effectiveness and student learning through effective strategies to meet all student’s needs.
WHEN: September 21, 2018: 12:00pm-5:00pm & September 22, 2018: 8:30am-3:00pm
WHERE: Embassy Suites Downtown Convention Center, 1420 Stout St, Denver, CO 80202
WHO: Union and teacher leaders, school and district administration, school board members, state leaders, and community partners.
DETAILS: Conference registration deadline is September 14, 2018.
Hotel Accommodations: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Embassy Suites Downtown Convention Center, 1420 Stout St, Denver, CO 80202 at a cost of $189 plus taxes and fees per room per night. To make hotel reservations, call 1-800-HILTONS and ask for the SW TURN room block. The room block cutoff date is August 21, 2018.
(As is our custom, we offer a stipend to assist with travel expenses for teachers and administrators- up to $500 for 1 person, $1200 for 2 or more.)
